DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOLS
A Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the level-entry course in YWAM with a three-month life-changing training phase and a two-month practical outreach to others.
We believe that God is raising up a generation of men and women who have a burning passion for Jesus that compels them to share His love with all the world.
It is the gateway course to join YWAM and continue with the University of the Nations. Or it fits perfectly in a gap year between study and work.
INTERNSHIPS
There are also internships – they have training, but more practical participation as well.
The One Thing Internship is open to anyone, giving a foundation for the vision, values, and expression of both personal and corporate prayer and worship.
While the Leaders Internship is for those who have completed a DTS, it will equip you to disciple others and lead your own life with excellence. It is also a prerequisite to staffing in YWAM Furnace NZ
One Thing Internship
The One Thing Internship (OTI) is simply this: one month of giving Jesus your full attention.
Encounter God in a community of worship and prayer, behold His beauty through simple devotion, and develop a lifestyle of enjoyable prayer.
It’s about pursuing Him for a short, intensive season, building a sustainable life of prayer as we grow in the desire to seek His face. Nothing is more important.
*Completion of a DTS is NOT a prerequisite for this internship

Leaders Internship
Become the leader you were created to be.
Do you know that God has called you to serve and lead others, but aren’t sure where to start?
This course is designed to raise up leaders in their character, skill sets, and vision to prepare them to serve in the various areas of ministry at YWAM Furnace NZ and wherever the Lord leads.

FURTHER TRAINING - Second-Level Schools
There are many schools, seminars and internships you can do after (and even some before) your DTS. Second-level courses are University of the Nations accredited and will equip you to make a difference in the sphere God is calling you to.

Word By Heart: Genesis to Revelation
Have you ever imagined the sights, smells and noise surrounding the events of the Gospels?
In the three-month Word by Heart Bible School, you will use your God-given imagination to place yourself in the context of Scripture. Once you have seen Jesus in this way, your natural memory will be unlocked. These stories will become so personal to you that you will simply remember them and then retell them as if they happened to you — using the exact words of Scripture.

The School of Worship (SOW) exists to equip worshipers whose hearts burn to lead the nations into the presence of God using music and song. Our goal is to dive deep into the heart of worship, put practical skills in your hands, and give you a Biblical understanding of who, how, and why we worship.
